Kia Ora koutou, I am a learner at Tāmaki Primary School in Auckland, New Zealand. I am in Te Puna Wairua a Bi-lingual unit where we speak Māori and English. My teachers are Whaea Lee, Matua Andre who is also our Kapa Haka tutor and our new pouako Whaea Saf.
My name is Mani and I am going to be joining you on the Summer Learning Journey as a blog commenter. I am so excited that you have joined us for the Summer Learning Journey 2019-2020.
Congratulations on completing your first activity for the Summer Learning Journey. You’ve shared some great information about Nainoa Thompson which I found to be really interesting as I have always loved the idea of voyaging. While I can tell you've put a lot of effort into researching Nainoa Thompson, this activity actually asks you to list 10 food items that you could take on the trip. Remember you will not have a fridge or freezer!
If you go back and read the instructions on the Summer Learning Journey website there's a couple of examples to give you an idea of what the activity Have another go and I'll check back in soon.
Cheers Awhina, keep going there are plenty more fun activities to be done and some prizes to be won.
